Each has specially designed furniture and decor and having been built using polystyrene blocks they have added warmth in the winter and a cooling effect in summer.

The two units available each have a separate room with two sets of bunks and a double bed in the main living area.

Only 900 metres from the Waitomo Caves Village and 2 minutes from the Glow Worm Caves is our unique accommodation on board "The Waitomo Express".

A 1950's rail car beautifully refurbished into a completely self-contained motel unit, situated on farmland with farm animals and bird life adding to the stunning scenery.

STAY IN A PLANE

A 1950's Bristol Freighter fully refurbished into 2 beautiful self-contained motel units.

PART OF OUR HISTORY
This plane was one of the last Allied planes out of Vietnam. Possibly the only accommodation of its type in the world. Beautifully decorated, this unique accommodation is surprisingly affordable for your stay in wonderful Waitomo.

Stay with us and children receive a FREE PASS to the Kiwi House.
With your accommodation we can book any caving adventures, black water rafting, 4x4 bike riding and horse riding.

Also FREE glow-worm walk in the evening.

There is two separate units in the Plane the Cockpit Unit which can sleep up to 4 people it has a double bed and a sofa that pulls out to a large single -  up in the cockpit there is no floor space other than bed and pilot seats, this is more suitable for kids as it has a very low ceiling, this unit cost $180 per double and $20 for each extra person. To get to the cockpit you have to climb a steep ladder, we recommend children be over 6- 7 years old to climb this safely. Unit has very little floor space in main area.

Tail Unit of the Plane can sleep up to 4 people it has a double bed and a set of bunks (bunks are slightly narrower than a normal size bunk & has a steep ladder up to the top bunk.) the price for this is $170 per double and $20 for each extra person.

STAY IN A SHIP

WWII Patrol Boat, a Fairmile Ship built in 1942 in Auckland and now the latest motel attraction at Woodlyn Park.

PART OF OUR HISTORY
This boat is part of New Zealand's History as 12 were built for anti submarine patrol in the Islands during WWII and only a couple survived including this one, The Motunui, which is now renamed as The Waitanic.

Waitanic Ship Motel Unit 1 - The Captains Room is 3 levels, top level is living/dinning room with couch that folds out to a double bed, full kitchen, small bathroom and own small deck. 2nd level contains master bedroom with queen-size bed and own deck. 3rd level is 2 rooms with 2 single beds in each and Main Bathroom. The Captains Room is $240 per double. Extra people are $20 each.

Waitanic Ship Motel Unit 2 - The Britanic Room can sleep up to 4 people. The upstairs room contains a queen-size bed and down stairs there are two single beds. This unit is available for $180 per double. Extra people are $20 each

Waitanic Ship Motel Unit 3 - The Titanic Room can sleep up to 6 people. Upstairs there is a luxurious super king-size bed and down stairs there are two rooms with two single beds in each room. This unit is available for $190 per couple. Extra people are $20 each.

Waitanic Ship Motel Unit 4 - The Honeymoon Room with a super king-size bed, and to make your honeymoon something special a double spa bath downstairs to relax in. This unit costs $200 for a couple.
